Update: As of 9/28/2024, the petition had over 6K signatures. Gov Newsom signed all three bills, CA SB1277, 1287 & 2925, into law that same day. We expect court challenges.

STOP efforts to criminalize support for Palestine through anti-BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions) laws. Thirty-five states have anti-BDS laws that criminalize support for the boycott of Israel, saying that it is anti-Semitic, which it is not. The BDS movement was initiated in Palestine by civil society as a peaceful response to the Israeli occupation; it was inspired by the impact of boycotts in ending apartheid in S. Africa. Support Professor Rabab Abdulhadi: Dr. Abdulhadi is a scholar and activist who is the director of Arab and Muslim Ethnicities and Diasporas/Race and Resistance Studies in the College of Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University. She is an outspoken critic of Israel's treatment of Palestinians. The Pro-Israel Lawfare Project has initiated a lawsuit that seeks to silence and intimidate her and others and dismantle the program at SFSU. Get more information and help Dr. Abdulhadi.
